BIOGRAPHIE
Georges Auguste Breitel was an accountant by trade before becoming a cartoonist and journalist.
He worked for the illustrated newspapers La Rampe, Les Annales, Gringoire, La Vie parisienne, and Le Charivari. He was a member of the Society of Humorists and the Parliamentary Cartoonists. He also exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants.
In 1921, Cécile Sorel sued the Society of Humorous Cartoonists over a caricature exhibited at the Salon des Humoristes.
He died at his home on Rue Redon on September 26, 1967.
