A rare rapier sword from the Malabar coast. The bronze hilt is of symmetrical design with flared langets, and pointed quillions. The body features decorations of silver geometric chasing motifs. Flexible 78.5cm triple fullered blade, probably of European origin with rounded tip. Wear to both hilt, decorations and blade. Overall nice patina. Sold a rapier version recently from the same British collection. See our history section.
